-An unfortunate event or situation that results in an unforeseen positive outcome.

-Something that was potentially bad but turns out to be good.

Running late for work turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

My car broke down again, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise; I’ve been wasting too much time driving around anyway.
